Most of Japan's premiere automobile manufactures will be present during the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and will feature their impressive and ground-breaking new vehicles. Mitsubishi is no exception. Not only will the company be displaying their wide range of automobiles, they will also unveil the eX, their newest concept car.

The Mitsubishi eX Concept is a compact crossover that features the company's next-generation electric vehicle system. Along with Mitsubishi's EV technologies, the car will also feature a vast range of other technologies that will give drivers a superior driving experience.

The eX Concept embodies Mitsubishi's "Driving Beyond" vision, which seeks to "step forward with SUVs and electric power."

Based on the teaser images released by Mitsubishi, the eX Crossover Concept features the manufacturer's modern design language. The crossover has a sporty yet elegant design. The front fascia features Mitsubishi's signature Diamond Shield front grille, narrow and angular headlights at the edge, and oversized running lamps. At the rear, there is a split C-pillar. The crossover also comes with oversized wheels.

While Mitsubishi has yet to unveil the eX Concept's powertrain and other specifications, it is said to have an all-electric Twin Motor all-wheel drive with a high capacity battery that can run 248 miles on a single charge.

The crossover also features active safety systems including an autonomous parking system, a highway driving assistant, and an obstacle avoidance system.

The interior is outfitted with soft-touch materials. The cabin also features a lightweight and minimalist look. The crossover concept also has an augmented reality windshield that will give information to the driver, alongside the large infotainment display placed near the driver. This is to ensure that the driver's attention is kept on the road.

More details about the eX will be unveiled during its official launch.

The 2015 Tokyo Motor Show commences on Oct. 29 and will be open to the public until Nov. 8.
