Chevrolet has just released some important details about the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, like its all-important features and price.

According to reports, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will come in at $26,695 plus delivery fee. Motorists quickly noticed the jump from the outgoing Camaro's price tag of $24,700. However, the upcoming sixth-generation model of the Camaro reportedly boasts of a jump in performance, technology and fuel economy. Unfortunately, how much the new Camaro will cost in the global market is still a mystery that's yet to be uncovered.

The hefty price jump will reportedly be balanced out by the changes that have been implemented and which are rumored to be the reasons why the Camaro is this decade's new muscle car. The new Chevy's design has reportedly necessitated it shedding about 200-plus pounds of weight, resulting in a smaller and more streamlined chassis.

The 2016 Camaro's base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, with 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This makes the vehicle more than capable of bursting from 0 to 60 mph in "well under 6 seconds."

The midlevel model's new 3.6-liter V-6 is allegedly not turbocharged but the direct injection and variable valve timing that's included in the engine makes it capable of 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque while the engine's cylinder deactivation makes for efficient fuel economy.

The high-end 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 1SS boasts of 455 horsepower and a torque figure that complements it, plus Brembo brakes, optimal run-flat tires and additional coolers for the transmission, differential and engine oil. All of that power for just $37,295.

The 2016 Chevy Camaro is touted to carry features that are considered standard for the vehicle, like the company's MyLink infotainment system, an OnStar 4G LTE WiFi hub, the Apple CarPlay, a backup camera and a drive-mode selector.

The Chevrolet Camaro has been the leading muscle car for the past few years, until the new Mustang was introduced last year. Since then, the Camaro has lost some ground. But with the changes and improvements made to the model, there's a big chance that Chevrolet will once again reign supreme.
