GMC has introduced a new premium truck in its lineup – the Sierra All Terrain X. The 2016 Sierra All Terrain X is a special edition model based on the GMC's All Terrain truck. The newly introduced model comes equipped with premium features that give the truck an aggressive appearance and superior off-road capability.

"Styling is the biggest influence of Sierra customers and the new Sierra All Terrain X builds on that with a more aggressive, personalized appearance that complements its exceptional quality," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing.

The 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain X perfectly meets the needs and preferences of customers looking for a new premium truck. Like the top-tier Sierra Elevation and Sierra Denali trims, the Sierra All Terrain X also features top-of-the-line features and refinement.

In terms of design, the Sierra All Terrain X features an aggressive design and monochromatic color scheme. It also has some subtle design cues that showcase its nature as a limited edition model. The truck comes with a unique and monochromatic grille with chrome accents, LED headlights, body-color front and rear bumpers and 18-inch black aluminum wheels with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac MT tires.

Though based on the 2016 Sierra 1500 4WD SLT trim, the X Package gives it a more premium appearance. The truck comes with black sport side steps, bed-mounted sports bar, exterior mirrors and body color door handles and body moldings.

At the rear, the Sierra All Terrain X also comes with an aggressive looking performance exhaust system.

For the ultimate off-road performance, GMC has given the Sierra All Terrain X the Eaton locking rear differential, an inclinometer and the Z71 Off-Road suspension package (Rancho monotube shocks, Hill Descent Control, a high-capacity air cleaner and an underbody transfer case shield).

The 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain X is powered by a 5.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 365 horsepower.

The 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain X will go on sale by spring 2016. Pricing will be revealed closer to its official launch date.
