2017 Hyundai Elantra news: Prices start at $17, 985; will offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Hyundai has finally announced pricing details on the all-new 2017 Elantra. The sixth-generation sedan will arrive at U.S. dealers this month, with additional trims arriving later this year. The 2017 Hyundai Elantra can be availed with the latest infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra will be offered in three trim levels – SE, Limited and Eco.

The SE and Limited trims will be powered by a 2.0-liter Nu MPI Atkinson four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is rated at 33 mpg for combined driving.

The standard SE trim comes with a six-speed manual transmission and is priced at $17,150. For a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC, customers will have to add an additional $1,000.

The 2017 Elantra SE trim will be offered with the Popular Equipment package ($800) that includes a 7-inch Display Audio system, 3.5-inch TFT monochromatic cluster display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth hands-free, a rear view camera, cruise control, heated outside mirrors and a hood insulator.

For additional features, customers can avail of the Tech package for $1,300. This package includes LED daytime running lights, blind spot detection with rear-cross traffic alert, a hands-free smart trunk, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, heated front seats and a sliding armrest.

For the Limited trim, prices start at $22,350. The Limited trim comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC.

The Limited Tech package is priced at $2,500 and includes an 8-inch infotainment system with navigation, a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster display, an Infinity eight-speaker audio system, power sunroof, heated rear seats and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

There is also the Limited Ultimate Package ($1,900) that provides LED lighting, emergency braking with pedestrian detection, smart cruise control, lane keep assist system and memory system for driver's seat and outside mirrors.

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra in the SE and Limited trims will be available to purchase this month.

On the other hand, the Eco trim will be arriving by spring 2016. It is powered by a fuel-efficient 1.4-liter Kappa turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine mated to the EcoShift seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Pricing and packages will be announced closer to its launch date.

Hyundai also revealed that a dynamic Sport trim would also be arriving later this year.

All prices mentioned will incur an additional $835 charge for destination charges.
