Most people dream of going to a gorgeous beach for a vacation. Lounging under the sun, enjoying sumptuous meals and staying in a beautiful hotel are usually the stuff that memorable vacations are made of.

But for some people, a memorable vacation entails being stranded on an island and left to fend for themselves. And they are paying good money for the experience.

Docastaway is a travel company that specializes in arranging vacations on remote islands around the world for those who want to live out their "Castaway" or "Lost" fantasies. The company reportedly knows of and has access to remote islands that are off the radar and largely free of western influences. While the islands are remote and relatively unknown, they also have the most pristine beaches with beauty unmatched by even the more famous travel destinations like Hawaii or the Maldives.

One such intrepid soul is millionaire Ian Argus Stuart. The 64-year old spent 11 days on the remote island of Hunga Tonga which is 2,200 miles away from Sydney. The Brit only brought a machete and the barest essentials with him and survived on eggs, cabbage and squid during his adventure.

Stuart filmed his stay on the island and posted his adventures on YouTube. He described the area as akin to a lunar landscape with only seagulls for company. The adventurer could also be seen enjoying the sun and lounging in a rock pool. The entrepreneur has reportedly enjoyed his experience so much that he signed up for several more vacations.

For people who want an adventure but are not inclined to follow in Stuart's footsteps, Docastaway has a comfort mode package. It is aimed towards people who want to enjoy a certain level of comfort. But for those who want to follow Stuart, the adventure mode is the ideal vacation package.
