Acer's family of Liquid Leap wearables extends to Leap Curve, Leap Fit and Leap Active

Acer has expanded its original Liquid Leap wearable range by adding three new models at the company's #keepasking event in New York, including a fashion-friendly wearable with interchangeable bands and two health-focused versions to keep a check on stress levels. At its global launch event in New York, the Taiwan-based company unveiled the Liquid Leap Curve, the Liquid Leap Fit, and the Liquid Leap Active as part of its Liquid Leap brand.

The new sleek Liquid Leap Curve wristband packs a curved OLED display and battery, which fits the contour of the wearer's wrist better than a flat screen and makes it more comfortable to wear as well as easier to read. The device comes with waterproofing, interchangeable bands and materials, along with powerful health tracking sensors, including a heart-rate and stress sensor. The new Liquid Leap Curve is still in production and will be launched in late spring or early summer this year.

The Liquid Leap Fit is a waterproof wristband designed for continual fitness-tracking with a regular 1-inch touchscreen and interchangeable bands. The device focuses more on improving the wearer's wellbeing by using its heart rate sensor to regularly measure the pulse and stress sensors to check skin temperature and sweat. Using this data, Acer's H app can create a daily life chart for the wearer to identify the cause of stress and help remove it to improve well-being.

The Liquid Leap Active, which is a basic version of the Liquid Leap Fit, also comes with a 1-inch touchscreen and active fitness-tracking features, including the ability to detect metrics like amount of calories burned and distance travelled. The device is waterproof and allows wearers to control music as well as handle notifications.

Acer has not provided any price indications or release date for any of the new wearables and it is also not known when or if any of these devices will be available in the U.S.
