The 'Agents of SHIELD' Season 2 premiere is just around the corner, and fans cannot wait for what's in store for the characters of the series.

Cast member Lucy Lawless spoke about her role as Isabelle Hartley to TVLine, and says that the amount of trust between her character and Phil Coulson will serve as a comfort zone to Coulson in the next season.

Lawless revealed that her character, expert mercenary Isabelle Hartley, has a professional attraction to Coulson, which will coincide with her aims professionally.

"She does what she wants, when she wants for her own purposes. It just so happens that whatever Coulson's purpose is becomes her No. 1 aim in life, so he knows he can trust her above all," Lawless told Entertainment Weekly in an interview.

Lawless also explained that although her relationship and ties to Coulson is expected to be smooth, there is friction to be expected between her character and Coulson's team.

"Yeah. I think she likes him a lot. She doesn't like many people. She likes him. And she likes her team, but there's friction with [Coulson's] guys because they're so slick and we're so rag-tag, but she's like, 'Deal with it,'" Lawless said in the interview with TVLine.

Lawless, who's famous for her role as 'Xena,' also talked about how her character will be inserted in the storyline.

"Well, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been smashed by the treachery of Ward, who's revealed himself to be a double agent and now Coulson has to pick up the pieces. You get to see globally how many agents they've got and the one person he feels he can trust to spearhead this move is an old friend, Isabelle Hartley," the actress further revealed.
