'American Horror Story: Hotel' update: Lady Gaga looks stunning at red carpet premiere, excited to have her first premiere as an actress

The "American Horror Story" anthology is set to return to the small screen in a couple of days and to start things off on the right foot, the cast and crew had a wild and fun premiere party at the Regal Cinemas in Los Angeles.

Looking every inch the Countess that she portrays, Lady Gaga turned heads at the red carpet premiere of "American Horror Story: Hotel" with her classy and uber-stylish Brandon Maxwell red dress that had a long train and an eye-catching slit that showed plenty of leg. The singer obviously favored red that night when she paired her dress with blood-red nails, platform pumps and understated jewelry.

The singer was accompanied by her fiancé, "Chicago Fire's" Taylor Kinney, and the two looked loved up as they kissed and held hands on the red carpet.

Gaga was especially fired up and tweeted that it was the first premiere she attended as an actress.

That was a quick sentence. Click the link in our bio to watch last night's #Gotham now.

She also posted other photos of the event, even one of her indulging in a Countess-approved drink.

The singer's character in "American Horror Story: Hotel" is said to be inspired by Elizabeth Bathory, the countess notorious for bathing in the blood of young women. While some might consider a part like that as particularly draining, an EW article said that Lady Gaga thrived on it.

"Everybody on this cast has been really open and available to me in a very honest way, so I'm able to be myself in a way I feel like I haven't been in a really long time, so they are just making me feel so alive," the singer explained.

The feeling is apparently mutual as the cast of "Hotel" also had high praises for the accomplished thespian. "Magic Mike's" Matt Bomer, who plays Gaga's lover in the series, described her as one of his favorite actors. The venerable Kathy Bates had previously tweeted her feelings about the "Bad Romance" singer, saying that she rocked the role and scared even her.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" will open its doors to the public when it premieres on Oct. 7 on FX.
