"American Horror Story", Ryan Murphy's hit horror show that follows an anthology-based format rather than a season-based one, is welcoming new cast members. Season five, the theme of which is "Hotel", will be markedly diverse from its predecessors, both in cast and plot.

The newest guest to check in at Murphy's hotel is actress Chloe Sevigny. Sevigny starred in the FX anthology's second season "Asylum" in which she essayed the role of Shelly, reports TVLine. Shelly had her legs amputated by the evil Dr. Arden, after which he injected her with something that mutilated her. This was because Shelly mocked the doctor when he attempted to rape her. Sevigny's previously roles include in shows such as "Those Who Kill", "The Mindy Project" and "Bloodline".

She isn't the only star to have checked in at Murphy's hotel. Lady Gaga was Murphy's first confirmed cast member and subsequently it was announced that "White Collar" star Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson of "Glee" fame and "American Beauty" star Wes Bentley are also checking in this season. Bentley, like Sevigny, starred in a previous season of "American Horror Story". In "Freakshow", he essayed the role of Edward Mordrake, a freak that haunts other freaks who perform on Halloween and himself sports two faces on his single head.

Murphy and the production team are keeping details of the upcoming season under wraps, the only two aspects that are certain is that the theme is hotel and the show will be set in present day. However, the show's creator had specified that all seasons are connected, giving room for ample speculations and sparking an investigation of potential clues by fans and TV critics alike.

Production for the new series' 13 episodes will take place in the summer and subsequently airs in October 2015. Movie News Guide reports that, so far, from the old cast, only Kathy Bates and Evan Peters will be playing roles in season five.

Rumors have pegged Cecil Hotel as Murphy's next setting, however, nothing has been confirmed or officially announced yet.
