Android just got even sweeter with its latest upgrade, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and Motorola devices are the first ones to taste it.

According to its official blog, Motorola has already made the update available to ten of its smartphones, namely: Moto X 1st and 2nd Gen, Moto G 1st and 2nd Gen, Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E, DROID Turbo, DROID Ultra, DROID Maxx, and DROID Mini - that's a lot of Droids. But the company is expected to add more devices to carry the Lollipop.

The new Lollipop is packed with cool features that would not want to go back to KitKat, which technically you really can't, because Lollipop doesn't allow you to downgrade.

Android 5.0 carries the new User Interface (UI) dubbed Material Design which is even more responsive and full of vivid colors, with natural motion and seamless fluidity. Sharing is on a whole new level too, with its guest user option which prevents your nosy friends to step into your privacy. There's also the underrated Android Beam, which takes advantage of the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. Just tap two devices carrying Lollipop together and you got a file transfer.

Its size, 386.7MB, is totally worth it. Lollipop is equipped with Project Volta for longer battery life, and paired with the new Android Runtime (ART) which saves RAM and memory-efficient, these mean less work for the processor, and less juice is used. It also prolong the phone use by up to 90 minutes, plus, it's available in 68 languages.

Unwanted phone calls won't be bothering you anymore. With Lollipop, phone calls will not interrupt your video or games, you can answer it or just let it ring. You can also control notifications more efficiently, such as hiding sensitive content, or filtering the people who you want to get notifications from.

It's a whole revamped look, sharper colors, fluid motion and response, and all of these just around the corner. Android fans will surely be all over the Lollipop like ants.
