Reports are coming in that Apple Incorporated will start the year with the release of the three variants of iPad Pro 2.

The first of the three variants is the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 that will feature the True Tone Technology — enabling users to have a display that adjusts to the environment's lighting level. It will also feature an improved skin than its predecessor.

However, what's not clear about the product is whether it will be using an A9X or an A10X processor. Reports claim that the 9.7-inch variant will be bolstered with an improved graphics and central processing unit (CPU) performance through the A10X since the Pro series follows the trend of the iPhone chip series; iPhone 7 featured an A10 fusion chip which will then result to the creation of A10X chips for iPad.

The second variant is the 10.5-inch iPad Pro which has a similar physical size to that of the 9.7-inch model but with a wider screen. This is due to the decrease in the size of its bezel that will, in turn, make it dependent on a virtual home button.

The size of the model will also make it compatible with accessories such as the Smart Keyboard.

There will be slight changes, however, to the display capacity of the unit. The Apple iPad Pro 2 10.5-inch model will be using a 2,224-by-1,668 display resolution and an improved aspect ratio.

The third variant of the iPad Pro 2 series is the 12.9-inch unit. The model will boast of a 12.9-inch display that is compatible with Apple Pencil Stylus. However, it will not have any headphone port.

According to reports, the tentative date for the release of the product will be in April. Earlier news stated that the release might be on March 20-24, but no announcement from the company transpired. The firm may announce the lineup at its 2017 Spring Event.
