Apple, Inc., has sent out invites for a press event happening on Sept. 9 in Cupertino, Calif.

"Wish we could say more," reads the invitation sent out on Thursday, August 28, according to Reuters.

Apple is also reportedly working on a new 12.9-inch iPad, but the device will not be available until early 2015.

According to Bloomberg, production will begin rolling within the first quarter of next year.

Apple's iPhone 6 succeeds iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, which were launched almost the same period in 2013.

Rumors have it that there will be two versions of iPhone – a 4.7-inch display and 5.5-inch display.

Expectations are reaching greater heights, especially after Software Chief Eddy Cue noted that this year's product pipeline of Apple is the best he'd seen in decades.

Typically, an event like this would only be exclusive for an iPhone release.

However, with the excitement building all over the wearable market, there is a big likelihood that Apple's iWatch will see the light on Sept. 9.

HealthKit is also one of the main ingredients that Apple is looking to include in their iOS 8 recipe.

The new operating system is set for release this coming fall.

Apple will be holding this event, few days after its rivals unwrap their lineup of devices.

Samsung will host the Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event on Sept. 3, just before the IFA-Consumer Electronics fair in Berlin.

This occasion is expected to introduce Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the rebirth of stylus and the company's new bet for the looming "war on wearables".

Taiwanese smartphone giant HTC, however, sailed in first and presented the HTC One M8 for Windows.

The Apple event will take place at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts, located inside the campus of De Anza College in Cupertino, Calif.

The venue can accommodate up to 2,400 guests, significantly bigger compared to the campuses where iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5 were launched.
