Apple finally unveiled the iPhone 6 during its exclusive event in Cupertino, California.

"iPhone 6 isn't simply bigger — it's better in every way. Larger, yet dramatically thinner. More powerful, but remarkably power efficient. With a smooth metal surface that seamlessly meets the new Retina HD display. It's one continuous form where hardware and software function in perfect unison, creating a new generation of iPhone that's better by any measure," said the prelude on Apple's official website.

The bigger, thinner and more powerful flagship device comes in two variants: the smaller model iPhone 6 (4.7-inch display) and the "phablet" that is iPhone 6 Plus (5.5-inch display).

The 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models are 6.9 mm and 7.1 mm thin respectively, the thinnest in Apple's iPhone-making history.

Moreover, iPhone 6's Wi-Fi and LTE speeds are up to three times faster compared to iPhone 5S.

The brand-new features include 8-megapixel iSight camera, with 1.5 µ pixels and five element lens, Retina HD display, Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and more.

Notice how the iSight camera specs feature scientific symbols? The tech giant has an answer to that.

"That's a nerdy way of saying, we've made the iSight camera a lot better," according to Apple.

Apple iPhone 6 comes with the revolutionary Apple Pay, a breakthrough contactless payment technology and unique built-in security features that will allow contactless payment using Touch ID.

Both iPhone 6 models will be available in three colors: silver, gold and gray.

While the iPhone 6 event centers on being "bigger and better," it also highlights Apple's partnership with Mayo Clinic for the HealthKit app.

U2 also shared the stage with Apple CEO Tim Cook to announce that half a billion iTunes user will receive the newest album of the band for free.

Pricing details of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are already available on Apple Store.

All things considered, the press conference received the thumbs up by observers.

While many were disappointed that it didn't come close to the iPhone 4S launch, which is deemed as one of the most spectacular launches the company has ever had, there were great moments that made Apple's cult-like fandom proud.
