More and more rumors are coming out regarding Apple's line of wearables and the latest one suggests that the Apple Watch 2017 may be getting a new feature along with a higher price tag.

In a recent report, Digitimes revealed that Apple may be planning to use new panels for the rumored wearable. Specifically, supply chain sources spoken to by the website have indicated that Apple intends to develop and use Micro LED panels for the next Apple Watch if and when that product may be launched.

The Micro LED panels would be taking the place of the OLED panels were they to be featured in Apple's line of wearables.

Interestingly, it seems as though Apple's opting to use Micro LED panels will have an impact on the rumored wearable that goes beyond providing them with extra features.

Apparently, Micro LED panels will cost more to make than the OLED panels, meaning if Apple really is planning to utilize this particular form of technology, then people should probably count on the Apple Watch 2017's price to be a bit higher than they may have previously expected.

Exactly how much the price may increase is still unclear at this point.

It may also be a while before people learn more about next year's Apple Watch since the website's sources have indicated that Apple may only start implementing the new technology sometime within the second half of 2017.

While people wait to see what next year's Apple Watch could end up offering, they can still focus on the version of the wearable that may be unveiled this year.

In an earlier report, Digitimes revealed that the Apple Watch 2 could finally show up later this year, as per their supply chain sources.

According to Tech Radar, a September launch for the new Apple wearable alongside the iPhone 7 could be a distinct possibility.

More news about the Apple Watch 2 and the Apple Watch 2017 should be made available in the near future.
