The unveiling of Apple Watch at Flint Center in Cupertino, Cali., last Sept. 9 was arguably the highlight of the event.

"Coming Early 2015" as indicated on the official website, the first smartwatch that comes out of Apple's turf is packed with features that are now being dissected by health professionals and fashion industry experts.

Doctors and health developers want to see more from Apple Watch and its "more than one way to look at fitness."

"The Activity app on Apple Watch provides a simple and powerful graphic of your daily activity, with three rings telling you everything you need to know," a parcel of the product/features description reads.

Tech pundits immediately predicted the death of fitness wristbands and competing smartwaches with the dawn of Apple Watch.

However, the rich health features and additional sensors are what health authorities are keenly looking at.

They want more.

The fashion world is divided by how the watch looks, but many think that the design is a bit too masculine.

"The Apple Watch will be a status symbol to carry," InStyle Magazine's fashion news director Eric Wilson said.

"But the design is generic in the sense of its flexibility and individualization. With the exception of the bright colors and gold trim," Wilson added, it is "a very masculine watch."

Fashion Director at The Doneger Group, Roseanne Morrison, has similar thoughts:

"It's not pretty," she told Reuters. "It's very future techno as opposed to feminine sexy."

Other critics are sitting on the other side of the fence, gushing:

"It is immaculate in terms of how function meets design. The issue is really about how much people want to wear something so clearly, essentially an amazing gadget," said Alexandra Shulman, editor of British Vogue.

Apple Watch retails for $349.
