Apple rumors, news: No antenna lines for iPhone 7; iPad Air 3 rumored for a March release

(Apple)iPad Air 3 could release in March 2016 to refresh the lineup

Rumors about the iPhone 7 and the iPad Air 3 have been arriving in a steady stream even though the smartphone is still due to arrive next year in September, and Apple chose not to update the tablet this year. However, it is clear that the rumors about these two devices are not going to die down anytime soon as people are extremely interested in what new features Apple plans to include in them.

First off, a lot of attention has been focused on the iPad Air 3, as many were expecting the lineup to be refreshed this year but were disappointed when Apple instead chose to bring out the bigger iPad Pro. Now Recombu states that the tablet could arrive next year in March as Apple does not plan to wait until its big event in September to reveal it.

As for the other rumors about the iPad Air 3, they indicate that the tablet will not come with 3D Touch technology, which debuted this year on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus smartphones. This is because the technology cannot be used easily on the bigger screen of the tablet and several production issues have cropped up. Now, there are reports that Apple is creating similar technology but it will not be ready in time for the launch of the iPad Air 3.

Coming to the iPhone 7, the latest rumors about the smartphone mainly revolves around its design. In particular, GSMArena outlines that Apple plans to get rid of the antenna lines at the back of the device. This will cause the iPhone 7 and its bigger sibling, the iPhone 7 Plus, to be much more streamlined in appearance. There are also indications that waterproofing will be offered in the lineup and it will be something similar to what is being offered in the Sony Xperia Z5 models.
