'Arrow' season 5 spoilers: will help Oliver Queen train new members of Team Arrow

(Facebook/Arrow)Rumor has it that Colton Haynes will reprise his Roy Harper character in "Arrow" season 5.

Is Colton Haynes coming back to "Arrow" and reprise his Roy Harper character in the upcoming season 5? This is now the question asked by many fans after photos showing the actor at the set of The CW series surfaced online recently.

To the uninitiated, Haynes left the show in its third season when his character Roy Harper was given a fake death in order to allow Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) continue being the Arrow. It can be recalled that in "Arrow" season 3, Oliver Queen admitted that he is the vigilante, but Roy Harper covered up for him and was the one sent behind bars.

While in jail, Roy Harper's death was faked, giving Haynes the opportunity to exit the show with the possibility for the character to return anytime as his character didn't really die after all.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last May, Haynes revealed that health was the major reason why he wanted his way out from "Arrow" then.

"I asked to step away because I cared more about my mental and physical health than my career at the time... "I've had terminal anxiety my entire life. Physically ill, fainting. I'm 27 years old, and I have an ulcer. I had to step back," he told the entertainment publication.

However, according to other reports, there is no confirmation whether Haynes will really be back for the entire season 5 of "Arrow." Allegedly, the actor was just at the set of the said series just to pay a visit to his former co-stars. With Haynes being part of the upcoming season 2 of "Scream Queens," it may just be that he'll just guest-star in the series where he was once a regular. After all, it was reported that Haynes said a few months back that viewers can expect him to return for a few episodes on "Arrow" next year.

While it is true that Roy Harper returned to "Arrow" season 4, it was a brief appearance and the way he was brought back to the series did not fall in the good graces of the avid viewers of the show. However, this time, it is speculated that Hayne's Roy Harper will be back to the series to help Oliver Queen train the new recruits for his new Arrow team.

Will viewers really see Haynes as Roy Harper in "Arrow" again?

Find out when "Arrow" season 5 airs over The CW beginning Oct. 5.
