'Arrow' returns next week for its eighteenth episode entitled "Public Enemy", written by Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle. The official synopsis, as listed in this article at The Futon Critic, is as follows:

During an attack on the mayor's office, Ray (Brandon Routh) is critically injured. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is pleasantly surprised when her mother, Donna Smoak (guest star Charlotte Ross), shows up at the hospital to offer her support. With the SCPD out in full force looking for the assailant, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and his team work hard to stay one step ahead of the police to find the man responsible. However, things come to a head when Ra's al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) kidnaps Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne).

The episode will feature the return of Donna Smoak who appeared earlier in the season. Ra's al Ghul's vendetta against Oliver Queen continues following the latter's refusal of his offer from the previous episode.

Things will most likely come to a head following episode number twenty, which is entitled "Broken Arrow". Arrow's David Ramsey, in an interview with TV Line, explains that Ra's machinations from the previous episodes becomes all too much for the Emerald Archer.

"Ra's al Ghul is no joke. And he's going to get what he wants from Oliver one way or another. One way or another it's going to happen. And speaking of Lyla and Diggle, they're going to be affected in a very serious way by Ra's al Ghul, because no one is off limits to him getting what he wants. In an upcoming episode, they will be touched in a personal way," said Ramsey.

Speaking of Ramsey, the actor spoke extensively about a variety of topics, including the Suicide Squad, and the Arrow wedding experience. Check out the full interview at TV Line.
