This might be the fix all gamers are waiting for.

Gamers rejoiced as they awaited for Ubisoft to release Patch 4 of Assassin's Creed: Unity on Dec. 15. However, the release has been delayed by the game company.

The initial announcement for the launch of the new patch was made on Thursday, Dec. 11, through its official blog.

"This patch will address issues with stability and performance as well as online matchmaking and connectivity (among other fixes and improvements). For optimal performance before and after the patch, PC players using AMD video cards should be sure to install the latest drivers."

Players have reported slow frame rate, freezing, and being unable to enter certain portals. The Live Updates section of Assassin's Creed has been bombarded with complaints and players demanding answers and solutions.

But even after Patch 3 was released, problems in the gameplay kept pouring in. Yannis Mallat, Chief Executive Officer of Ubisoft Montreal, issued an apology.

"Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues. I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential."

Mallat added that they are committed to delivering further fixes for other issues raised.

"Please keep your feedback coming – it has been both humbling and incredibly helpful as we continue working hard to improve the overall quality of the game. We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin's Creed Unity experience," he urged the public.

In an effort to pacify the impatient players, Ubisoft made the Assassin's Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC available for free, while Season Pass holders can choose a free game from this selection: Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Far Cry 4, Just Dance 2015, Rayman Legends, The Crew, and Watch Dogs.

Can the gamers finally play Assassin's Creed: Unity the way it should be played after this Patch? Let's just wait and play.
