Asus ZenFone Go release date: affordable device rumored to land July

(ASUS)

The next budget friendly smartphone from Asus is now coming. As stated on GSM Arena, the new ZenFone is going to be announced by Asus by the end of this month.

The company has already released a couple of variants of the Zenfone in the past. This time however, it was said that they will release a more budget-friendly smartphone. However, users should not expect top-of-the-line features, as of course, to cut back on the costs of manufacturing, they will have to go with a not-so current processor and other specifications for the phone.

Dubbed as Zenfone Go with the model number, ZC500TG, it will come with a MediaTek quad-core SoC (System on Chip) processor, according to IB Times. It will also have 2 GB of RAM, as well as 8 GB of built-in storage memory.

8 GB of memory might sound a bit too small, considering that the operating system alone will already take up almost 10 percent of the phone's storage. Though, restricted storage can easily be resolved by adding a MicroSD, sadly, there are still no rumors as to whether the Zenfone Go ZC500TG will come with a memory slot or not.

The display, on the other hand, is not too bad considering th RAM size and storage capacity of the device. As mentioned on IB Times, the Zenfone Go ZC500TG will come with a 5-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1240 x 720 and a pixel density of 294ppi (pixels per inch).

This rumored handset will also run on the Android 5.0 Lollipop version, as stated on the specification report from GSM Arena. One disadvantage, however, is that this rumored smartphone from Asus will only support 3G network.

Asus still has not released any statement regarding the rumors about the next Zenfone. So it is best to take it with a grain of salt for now and wait for the company's official announcement.
