Asus is looking to make a big impact at the IFA 2015. The company is set to announce two new smartphones in the form of the Asus ZenFone Zoom and the Asus ZenFone Max. Both of these smartphones have already been unveiled by Asus and it appears that they will be released at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin alongside the Asus ZenWatch 2.

The report about the new devices from Asus emerged via Digitimes, which published an interview with Jerry Shen, the CEO of ASUSTeK Computer Inc. He revealed that on Sept. 2, the company will release the Asus ZenFone Zoom, which boast of the 3x optical zoom feature. Along with it is the ZenFone Maxx ,which has a huge 5000 mAh battery.

As mentioned, both devices have already been revealed by Asus. The ZenFone Zoom was unveiled during the CES and the ZenFone Maxx was announced at an event which recently took place in India. In addition, Asus also has plans to expand its range of smartphones and phablets, with up to seven new devices arriving before the end of 2016.

However, all attention is now focused on the IFA and the new devices that will be launched by Asus. PC Mag stated that even though Sony and its rumored Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium and Xperia Z5 Compact models are expected to dominate, the devices from Asus are still remarkably unique.

As for the specs of the ZenFone Maxx, it has a 5.5-inch screen and will be powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor. As for RAM, it will come with 2 GB and will be available either with 8 GB of onboard storage or 16 GB.

The ZenFone Zoom, on the other hand, its best feature is its camera. It will have 3x optical zoom capabilities and optical image stabilization. Just like its sibling, it will also come with a 5.5-inch screen.

The Asus ZenWatch 2, which was unveiled earlier this year, is also expected to be launched at the IFA and it is viewed by many as a huge improvement from last year's variant.
