Last Friday, Samsung Galaxy S5 popped up in the web pages of Android Headlines - after having appeared in a recent Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listing for the AT&T version. Unfortunately, the listing does not offer much useful information. It is possible that Samsung requested information to be kept confidential, either indefinitely or just 180 days. If information is kept confidential, the public have to wait for the listing, which includes schematics as well as the access of information like the user manual and external photos.

Nonetheless, information from the FCC indicates that AT&T Galaxy S5 will be working with LTE bands 17, 15, 4 and 7. Beyond that, information is scarce. The public can use the diagrams where the FCC ID can be seen as there are plenty of information about Galaxy S5 already shared by Samsung. Galaxy S5 seems to push fitness as it is compatible with the smartwatches Galaxy Gear 2, Gear Neon and Gear Fit, which were similarly launched at the Mobile World Congress 2014. Galaxy S5 is equipped with a rate monitor and fingerprint scanner on the home button, which should provide more security to the device.

Technical Specs

Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to have the same technical specs which were leaked even before its launch. The phone is expected to come with a full HD display of 5.1-inch Super AMOLED, powered by a Snapdragon 800 2.5MHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and an internal storage of either 16GB or 32GB. Around the back resides the 16MP camera, while the camera facing the front is a 2.1MP. The S5 will run Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped in Samsung's own TouchWiz skin.

Samsung's flagship phone will be on sale in 150 regions of the world, with a release date on April 11. Thus, although FCC's documentation did not offer much detail, it will not be long for the world to explore Samsung's most recent invention.
