It seems that Barcelona's winning tradition is set to continue over the years to come.

Having already secured the La Liga trophy for the 2014-15 season, the Catalans are still in the hunt for the Copa del Rey title and the UEFA Champions League crown to complete this year's treble.

However, the present may not only be the only thing on their minds, as they are also looking at the future of the club.

Barcelona have been one of the benchmarks of a successful football club. They have always challenged for titles, whether in Spain or in the European context. And with the club achieving success, the best players have always wanted to play for the team.

Of course, there are always some who will eventually leave and the Catalans are looking to fill a void, as their veteran captain Xavi is set to leave when the season ends. He has enjoyed a stellar career with Barcelona, winning several domestic titles and European titles with the team.

However, with his advancing age and declining game, he has decided to move on with his career and go to Qatar to help develop football in the country.

And with his departure, the space has to be filled in, and one of the biggest news is that Juventus star Paul Pogba wants to play for Barcelona.

Reports have surfaced that the breakout midfielder only wants to play at Camp Nou as he feels it is the best fit for him.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has impressed the Italian giants so far, helping the club win their league title and are also en route to a possible treble with the Coppa Italia final, facing Barcelona in the showpiece match in the Champions League.

As a result, his name has been linked to other big clubs like Paris-Saint Germain of France and England's Manchester City. However, Pogba has made it clear that he wants only Barcelona to be his destination.

There is one big hurdle for them as the La Liga champions are facing a transfer ban and are not allowed to transact in the next two transfer windows.

If that pushes through, however, reports claim that Pogba is willing to wait until June of 2016 or as early as January – when the transfer ban ends in the middle of the next season.

There are certainly other players linked with the club, like Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gondogan. And if the Catalans are able to get both the players – as it appears all parties are willing to wait – then it will make Barcelona an even more unstoppable force than they already are.

And that is the good thing about being on top.
