'Battlefield 1' release date, new details: Latest trailer reveals plot; info for Play First Trial announced

(Facebook/Battlefield)The release of one of the most anticipated games, "Battlefield 1" is near and some lucky gamers will get to participate in the upcoming Open Beta.

A new trailer was recently released for the latest installment of "Battlefield" and it highlights the single-player campaign. Different characters were shown in the promotional clip and they will be the ones taking the spotlight in the story. Also, players who have EA Access will have perks for the upcoming game.

The single campaign mode of "Battlefield 1" mainly focuses on the events that occurred during World War I, which is labeled "War Stories." It also delves deeper into the personal stories of the individuals instead of focusing on how brutal the war was. As mentioned in the game's website, "There were so many different perspectives and characters in World War 1 and we wanted to cover as much ground as possible."

It was also reported in Gamespot that the Great War will be set in different locations, and as the story progresses, there will be more playable characters. Based on the ESRB description, the players will be able to control a fighter pilot, an armor crewman, a rebel fighter, and a message-runner. The developer of the game, EA DICE, believes that focusing in this era would not be enough with just one character and this is the reason why there are different perspectives that will build the plot.

Furthermore, the developer has announced the details for the Play First Trial. It is an early access program where member of EA Access and Origin Access can play upto 10 in-game hours of the upcoming game. This event will start on Oct. 13 and five maps will be available for the trials which are the St. Quentin Scar, Amiens, Sinai Desert, Fao Fortress and Suez. As for the game modes, Conquest, Rush, Operations and Domination are playable.

The Play First Trial will end on Oct. 20 before the game is released. "Battlefield 1" is expected to be launched on Oct. 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
