Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner updates: No reconciliation between estranged couple despite spending Christmas together

(Reuters/ Danny Moloshok)Actor Ben Affleck and his wife, actress Jennifer Garner, arrive at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars Party in West Hollywood, California March 2, 2014. Despite having been sighted together numerous times, Garner has denied that she and Affleck have reconciled.

Although Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spent Christmas together with their kids and the actress' family in Montana, the estranged couple have not gotten back together.

People reports that the estranged couple, who have yet to file for divorce, are not headed for reconciliation despite spending time together in several special occasions, Christmas being the latest. According to the source of the publication, who is said to be close to the couple, things between the two Hollywood actors haven't changed that much despite announcing their separation in summer of 2015.

It is a known fact that the two still manage to live under one roof despite having announced that they are ending their marriage. According to reports, the decision to co-habit is a move to give their children normal parenting and should not be interpreted as a reconciliation.

Despite Garner's consistent denial on her reconciliation with Affleck, though, the incognito source claims that Affleck has been going the extra mile to spend more time with their three kids. The same source also reveals that the two don't mind that they haven't finalized the divorce yet and enjoy spending time together, just like how they were a few years ago.

Affleck and Garner announced their separation in June last year, 10 years after having been married. While it was heavily rumored that the culprit for the breakup was Affleck's alleged affair with their kids' nanny, Garner revealed earlier this year that she and Affleck had already called it quits before she heard of the rumor about the nanny.

"We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It's not great for your kids for (a nanny) to disappear from their lives," Garner revealed to Vanity Fair back in March.
