'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers, cast & plot update: Bryan Cranston teases return of a 'Breaking Bad' familiar face

Following rumors that there will be more than one "Breaking Bad" character returning for "Better Call Saul" season 3, Bryan Cranston seems to have confirmed the reports.

According to Uproxx, Cranston said during a recent visit to the Treaty Oaks Distillery in Dripping Springs, Texas: "I told Vince [Gilligan], if you want me to be on the show, I'll be there in a second." When asked about other things that he could say about the show's upcoming installment, he teased that there is "another new character coming on the show that you will recognize."

(Facebook/Better Call Saul)According to Bryan Cranston, there will be another familiar face that fans will recognize in "Better Call Saul" season 3

It has yet to be revealed which character will appear but it's clear that this other new name will not be Giancarlo Esposito's Gus Fring or Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman since obviously, these two are the most potential names joining "Better Call Saul" season 3.

Screen Crush suggests that this new familiar face could potentially be Betsy Brandt's Marie, who played an important role in the life of Cranston's Walt White when he and his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) started experiencing problems in their marriage. The question is, how will Marie's entry play into the life of Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman?

Another issue that has to be resolved with Marie's potential appearance in "Better Call Saul" is Hank's (Dean Norris) place in this event. The couple may have to appear together to make the story more acceptable for fans who know their roots very well from the origin series.

As for Walt's highly anticipated and widely demanded appearance in "Better Call Saul" season 3, there's obviously a lot of discussion that the writers and showrunners have to go through before he enters Saul's life.

For one, Jimmy will have to transform into Saul first before Walt even pops into the picture. This is because in "Breaking Bad," Jimmy was already Saul when he and Walt had connections. If Walt does get a very good storyline in the upcoming season, will it help mold Jimmy into the destined person that he should be?

AMC has yet to announce an official premiere date for "Better Call Saul" season 3 but it is expected to start airing sometime 2017.
