It is no longer secret that Beyonce has an upcoming album, but what everybody is watching out for is the confirmed release date of the album, which is still only just rumored to be in April. The "Formation" single, which she surprise-released Feb. 6 a day before the Super Bowl 50, may or may not be part of it. But for fans who want to download it, the tune that has been described as "mesmerizing" can be downloaded exclusively at Tidal. The album is her last with Sony.

Beyonce, or Bey, as she is known in the music circle, also performed the single a day after she announced its release. This was during the Super Bowl halftime show when she also announced her Formation World Tour, which was to kick off April 27. This works with the timeline of the supposed release of the album, and perhaps is great indication that rumors are dead on to the album's date of release.

Those who have been given the opportunity to hear it have nothing but compliments, such as Ty Hunter, Bey's stylist, who declared it to be "beyond awesome" on Billboard. The singer's choreographer Anthony Burrell has also posted on his Twitter account something that brings fans to another exciting tidbit: a Beyonce-Mariah collaboration.

Burrell posted the message, "Thankful for these amazing beauties for respecting my craft and allowing me to be a part of their project."

Other rumored collaborators on the project are Cara Delevingne, Clean Bandit, Ed Sheeran, rapper Future, Mike Will Made-It, D.R.A.M., and Naughty Boy.

Back in December of 2015, fans got a first whiff of the upcoming 2016 Beyonce album from "Alive" singer Sia, who writes hits for the big stars. When asked by Rolling Stone who she's been spouting song ideas to lately, Sia replied, "I didn't send as much to Beyoncé," and added, "though I do know she's working on something."

She also shared how Bey generates ideas for her albums, "The process is like a writing camp ... We all live in a house together — like five producers and five topline writers. She visits each room and will contribute and let us know what she's feeling and what she's not feeling. Lyrically, melodically, anything ... She'll say, 'I like the verse from that. I like the pre-chorus from that. Can you try mixing it with that?'"

Beyonce's upcoming album, the title of which has also not been given out as yet, has got the music industry abuzz and fans holding their breath. After the way she released the newest single, as well as the previous one, which was the self-titled "Beyonce," it may just be around the corner waiting, and who knows? Bey will just spring it on the unsuspecting without as much as a "bynote."
