Bill Cosby is facing a slew of sexual assault charges after several women came out with claims that the actor sexually assaulted them in the past, some dating 40 years ago. Some women claim that the recent allegations were initially filed in 2005, but were dismissed due to lack of evidence.

Now that the women are coming up one by one, most of them are recalling their experiences and talking to various news outlets for their stories to be heard.

Obviously, the legal representation of Cosby is denying the claims, stating that some of them are reaching the point of being "fantastical."

"The new, never-before-heard claims from women who have come forward in the past two weeks with unsubstantiated, fantastical stories about things they say occurred 30, 40, or even 50 years ago have escalated far past the point of absurdity," said lawyer Marty Singer in a statement released on Friday, as reported by The Telegraph.

Most of the sexual assault claims involve drugs or pills, allegedly given by Cosby. Joan Tarshis, one of the women accusing Cosby of sexual assault, says that the actor gave her "drug-laced drinks" twice in 1969. According to Tarshis, this resulted to Cosby forcing her to have intercourse, and on the second time, assaulting her.

Singer stands his client's ground, and says that the claims are "ridiculous."

"These brand new claims about alleged decades-old events are becoming increasingly ridiculous," continued the lawyer in the same statement.
