The Android-powered phone, the first of its kind in the list of handsets from BlackBerry, has just received yet another leak and this time, it has suggested the selling retail price (SRP) for the handset once it gets released.

The leak was first spotted circulating on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. According to the famed tech tipster Leaksfly, the BlackBerry Priv is going to be priced at RMB 3,999, and the rough conversion of it is around US$630, GSM Arena reports.

CEO of BlackBerry, John Chen, had already stated and confirmed last week that the BlackBerry Priv is to be expected on the high-end range in terms of quality and of course, as well as the pricing of it. When asked if the phone will be priced like any high-end phone, Chen answered [via Phone Arena] "High-end price, yeah" then continued to add "We'll make the phone financially affordable to get, whether that's by installments or something else."

So with that in mind, a price of roughly $630 wouldn't be far off considering John Chen's previous statement during his appearance at the Code/Mobile conference last week.

In terms of specifications though, BlackBerry Priv, previously referred to as the BlackBerry Venice to avoid confusion, is rumored to come with a 5.4-inch screen with Quad HD quality display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440. It was reported to run on a Qualcomm's processor specifically the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 that is clocked with a 1.8GHz processing speed and will come with a 3GB of RAM as its backup.

As for its internal memory storage, however, nothing much has been speculated on that aspect, but the previous report from Tech Radar suggests that it will come with an expandable storage via MicroSD.

For now, it's advisable to take these rumors and speculations with a grain of salt until BlackBerry makes an official announcement about the details of BlackBerry Priv.
