New TV series "Blindspot" has been off the air for a while now, and fans still have a long wait ahead of them before the show returns in February. But a trailer released for episode 11 hints that the guy with the tree tattoo will cause complications for Jane and Kurt Weller.

In Episode 10, "Evil Handmade Instrument," Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) team was able to capture the Russian spy behind the murder of Patterson's boyfriend. Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and Weller shippers were happily surprised when she ditched her handlers and sneaked into Weller's apartment and kissed him. But she was spooked and quickly left, only to be kidnapped and water boarded by Carter (Michael Gaston). The finale ended with the arrival of a mysterious man who killed Carter. The man, Oscar (Francois Arnaud), has a tree tattoo and is supposedly Jane's ex. He showed Jane a video that revealed that she was the one responsible for her own memory loss and tattoos.

A trailer for episode 11 shows Jane after she was water boarded, looking at the phone Oscar is holding out. It shows a clip of Jane, with long hair, saying that she can trust him as "he's just following your orders." Oscar says Jane left clear instructions on what to do and that they have to stick to the plan. He tells her the FBI are into some bad things and Jane is seen walking out to a scene of destruction, as if a bomb exploded. In addition to all the wreckage, there are dead bodies everywhere. The clip also shows Weller saying they have to tell Jane about what they're doing, but Mayfair disagrees. The clip ends with Jane demanding to be told everything and Oscar agreeing.

There's no official synopsis yet for the midseason premiere, but "Blindspot" showrunner Martin Gero revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that whatever life Jane has managed to make in the present will be complicated by her past intruding. As it turns out, Oscar is now the one who knows more about the mysterious woman and the one who can help her remember her true identity.

But does Oscar's appearance mean a love triangle will be brewing between him, Weller and Jane? Gero admits that there will be a triangle developing but teased that it might not be about love.

According to Gero, even though Oscar is there -- someone who knows her a lot better than Weller -- she doesn't know if she can trust him. On the other hand, she knows she can trust Weller. However, Jane knows that she is also romantically involved with Oscar. Through him, she can finally discover her true identity. So will this prompt her to choose Oscar over Weller?
