"Bones" finally returned after a long hiatus that left loyal followers of the show wondering about their favorite characters, Booth and Brennan. The premiere episode certainly gave viewers everything they expected, and now the season's main story arc will delve deeper into Booth's gambling addiction and Brennan's second pregnancy.

Episode 12 follows the story of an affluent teacher who is found dead in an abandoned bookstore. It goes without saying that the students and teachers become murder suspects. Per TVGuide's official episode synopsis, "squintern" Jessica Warren teaches Brennan some tricks of the Twitter trade when her publisher encourages her to embrace social media to reach more fans. Needless to say, Brennan's Twitter story angle will provide some much-needed comedy as she struggles to keep up with hastags.

However, season 1o is going to explore many aspects of the married couple's relationship and problems. This includes Brennan's second pregnancy and Booth's relapse as a gambling addict. In previous episodes, fans saw Booth go undercover as a poker player which sparked his gambling urge and led his to relapse.

The show will revisit his gambling problem in the upcoming episodes. TVLine reports that guest star Alex Skuby will play the role of Gavin Chadwick, Booth's long-time sponsor at his gambler's anonymous meeting. He will urge him to share and open up during the meetings as the first step towards recovery. Moreover, Brennan's pregnancy will coincide with Booth's gambling problems, making the couple's relationship even more complicated.

Additionally, unlike Brennan's first pregnancy, her second one will be more emotional as the two reexamine how their careers put them in harm's way every day. Actress Emily Deschanel, who essays Brennan's role told TVLine that, "They put their child in danger. Their house was blown up last season. It's not a safe world that they're bringing this child into, and she's very much aware of that this time, whereas last time she was a little naive about it... It's definitely an emotional journey. Then there's also issues with Booth where he starts gambling again. That's a big problem, too."

The baby will not be born during season 10 but perhaps on the finale episode. Watch "Bones" season 10 episode 12 on Thursday, April 2 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
