It finally happened—Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie said their 'I do's' on Saturday in a secret ceremony held in Correns, France.

Pitt and Jolie were seen landing via a private jet in Nice, France, together with their six children. It was reported that the family was headed to Chateau Miraval in Provence, a chateau in Correns that the pair has been leasing for six years.

A representative for the couple stated that the couple married in a "nondenominational civil ceremony" in a chapel inside Chateau Miraval, with a small group of guests including close friends and family members.

The representative added that the pair issued a marriage certificate back in California, where they reside, before jetting off to France for the ceremony, reports NY Daily News.

The judge who issued the certificate was also the one who performed the civil marriage.

On Thursday, Pitt was spotted wearing his wedding band at a promotional appearance for his new film "Fury," at the Tank Museum in Bovington, England.

Pitt's marriage to Jolie is his second, after being married to Jennifer Aniston for five years. Jolie's marriage to Pitt is her third; first to actor Jonny Lee Miller and next to actor Billy Bob Thornton.

George Clooney, a close friend of Pitt's, commented about the couple's marriage and is obviously happy for them.

"I'm really happy for Brad and Angie and their whole family," Clooney said to E! News.
