"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is set to receive its fourth and final expansion pack next week. Titled "Salvation," the downloadable content (DLC) features new maps and more zombie-filled adventures.

The DLC arrives on Sept. 6 and Activision has already revealed details about what fans can expect from the game. The four new multiplayer maps it contains are Citadel, Outlaw, Rupture and Micro.

In Citadel, players will be battling it out in an ancient castle where a powerful sorcerer once lived. Outlaw allows player to relive the action from "Call of Duty: Black Ops II's" favorite map, Standoff. Rupture is another reimagined classic map based on "Call of Duty: World at War's" outskirts. In "Black Ops III," this map has been transformed into a high-tech facility. Micro is a miniature battlefield that lets players have a larger-than-life gaming experience.

Apart from the new multiplayer maps, "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" also brings a new zombie adventure. Titled "Revelations," the new zombie campaign is the last chapter in the "Origins" zombie adventure saga.

The characters from "Origins" have embarked on a wild journey traversing space and time, taking them to this final moment. Dempsey, Richtofen, Nikolai and Takeo are finally going to meet the mysterious Doctor Monty in person. The heroes will have their final battle taking down a horde of zombies to save themselves.

Being the final DLC in the game installment, there's just so much anticipation for "Salvation." "The secrets we laid out years ago will finally make sense - we've been waiting a long time for this," Treyarch's director of Zombies for the game, Jason Blundell, said in a statement.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Salvation" should arrive on PlayStation 4 first on Sept. 6. The final DLC will also soon be available on the Xbox One and PC but no exact release date has been announced yet for these.
