Numerous changes and tweaks are now coming to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" courtesy of the recently released game update.

Released first for the PS4 version of the first-person shooting game, the new update does make some changes that are specific to that platform.

For instance, PS4 players will now notice that "complete your season pass" has been added to their in-game store.

Tweaks for the multiplayer maps included in the recently released "Descent" DLC pack have also been applied courtesy of the update to the PS4 port of the game, as noted over on Activision Support.

Some significant changes have also been made to the PC, PS4 and Xbox One ports of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3."

When it comes to the Black Market for instance, the newest loot items will now be identified with a banner whenever a player views them within the Contraband list.

Big changes are also coming to the Fracture game mode as four new medals have now been introduced.

The four new medals – All Gone, Break the Bank, Jackpot and Tearjerker – will provide players with some additional rewards to strive for as they compete with their friends online.

Changes have also been made to some of the specialists inside "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3."

There have also been tweaks applied to some of the weapons. Firearms such as the Man-O-War assault rifle have been nerfed slightly while other weapons, including the Garand, have been buffed a bit.

The Mercenary Playlist has also been removed for the PS4 and Xbox One ports of the first-person shooter.

As for the game's Zombies mode, additional stability tweaks have been made to the Theater option while maps such as Der Eisendrache and Giant have also had their lingering bugs exterminated.

More news about other future updates and features that may be added to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" should be made available soon.
