The dreaded month of May for American television shows has arrived. This is when shows from different networks are given the final verdict — renewal, cancellation, or ending. Below is a list of all the shows that viewers will be saying goodbye to.

Major networks — ABC, CBS, Fox, and The CW — have already named the titles that they are cancelling.

Last week, television networks have already issued their cancellations to the shows they have decided to let go. ABC's "Agent Carter" got axed a little after the show wrapped up its second season. The show had huge decline in ratings after its midseason return. Compared to the season 1 finale, the second season's last episode dropped 46 percent in ratings. The network also chose not to renew one of its veteran shows, "Castle," after gracing the small screens for eight seasons. They also canned the country musical series "Nashville."

Meanwhile, at Fox, they have axed four shows so far, including the freshman comedy series "Grandfathered," the legal comedy drama "The Grinder," single-cam comedy series "Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life," and the animated sitcom "Bordertown."

NBC, on the other hand, has pulled the plug on freshmen shows including "Game of Silence," "Heartbeat," and comedies "Crowded" and "Telenovela."

The CW declined to renew the drama thriller "Containment." Meanwhile, its sister network CBS, canceled one of its CSI franchises, "CSI: Cyber."
