'Captain America: Civil War' release date, cast: Vision switches side from Team Iron Man to Team Captain America; may appear in 'Thor: Ragnarok' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'

Vision is mostly associated with The Avengers, both in the comic books and the recent wave of Marvel films. But his role in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" might pave the way for his inclusion in other non-Avengers films like "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." How? That calls for some spoiler-y details on the new Captain America film.

It is no secret that Paul Bettany is reprising his role as Vision in the 2016 event film "Captain America: Civil War." It is also no secret that he will be on Iron Man's side...but not for long, says the recent wave of rumours from geek pop culture YouTube channel That Hashtag Show. In their recent video, they also revealed more potential spoilers about the Vision's role in the newest Captain America film.

Citing a source who also fed them Vision spoilers for "Avengers: Age of Ultron," That Hashtag Show said that while the film will start off with Vision on Tony Star;s (Robert Downey Jr.), he will son be jumping ship and joining the Cap (Chris Evans). In fact, the channel goes as much as to say that the Vision will be opposing Stark throughout the film.

Romance also seems to be in the horizon for the superhero. Towards the end of "Age of Ultron," he was seen flying off with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and this pre-empts the romance that will ensue between the two in next year's "Civil War." It's not a totally surprising angle as the Vision-Scarlet Witch romantic angle had been explored in the comic books, starting with 1970's "The Avengers #75." At one point, the two even got married in "Giant-Size Avengers #4."

But perhaps the biggest reveal for the character is that he will decide to leave for space after the events of the fictional Civil War wraps up. This led the source to predict that Paul Bettany might be joining Thor (and possibly Hulk) in "Thor: Ragnarok." After all, the Norse god did see Vision's mind gem in a vision form "Age of Ultron." Another possibility is that Vision might make his appearance in "The Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel. While that seems like a stretch, Vision being in space aligns with Thanos' need to get a hold of the Mind Infinity Stone Gem.

Bear in mind that everything mentioned is information from an unverified source and should be taken with a gran of salt. But do watch out for Vision when "Captain America: Civil War" premieres to theatres on May 6, 2016.
