Rick and Kate's wedding finally happened, though many had thought it would never take place after Rick was involved in a fiery car accident at the end of season 6. After a massive cliffhanger in which the wedding plans were undoubtedly postponed, the pair finally exchanged vows in the latest episode of 'Castle' season 7, dubbed 'The Time of Our Lives.'

Rick and Kate have truly put their past behind them as they step into a new level of trust and companionship. Kate went against the norm and walked in a wedding "attire" more suitable to her personality.

Rick's daughter, Alexis, also helped in furnishing lovely touches to the wedding.

Actress Stana Katic used her Twitter account to express her excitement over the wedding.

"Allright, babies. That's ur happy ending for the evening. Sleep tight & sweet dreams!" wrote Katic in her Twitter account, with a photo of the newlyweds after the episode had aired.

It might make sense to think that a proper honeymoon would follow after the wedding, but according to showrunner David Amann this is unlikely.

"In the course of Castle's disappearance, Beckett burned off all her vacation days," revealed Amann to TVGuide.

Amann added that the honeymoon could happen while the two are solving a case.

"Castle sees this as a golden opportunity to kill two birds with one stone by solving a case and taking a honeymoon," Amman further explained.
