Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) tries to solve two cases in "Castle" season 8 episode 4 titled "What Lies Beneath." But without Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) around, he ends up asking help from everyone, including his daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn).

ABC has released the synopsis for the upcoming episode, which reads:

"When Castle's idol, a famously reclusive author, turns up dead, Castle is determined to solve his hero's murder. But as he and Beckett dig deeper, they discover that truth is stranger than fiction."

"Castle" has also released promotional photos of the episode that show Richard and Alexis, and it seems like the young lady isn't happy about tagging along with her father.

According to MNRDaily, Richard not only investigates the death of his idol but he also looks into his marriage with Kate even further.

The Hollywood Reporter, however, states that fans should not be worried about the current breakup between their favorite couple. Kate  needs a little bit of time for herself to focus on her mother's murder. Showrunner Terence Winter recently explained to the publication Kate's decision of taking a break.

"At the end of the day she's doing it out of love," he said. "She's doing it to protect Castle, not to see if she is interested in other people or thinking maybe they went too fast or he isn't what she wants anymore."

Winter and co-showrunner Alexi Hawley also said that fans shouldn't expect a divorce in the near future.

TVLine reports that "Castle" will introduce another character who will help Richard with the break up. Lucy (Aubrey Plaza) will be the voice of Castle's Smart House and will help him get over his recent break up.

"Castle" season 8 will air its fourth episode on Monday, Oct. 12, on ABC.
