Following a win at home, the Anaheim Ducks try to close out their Western Conference Finals series as they face the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center in Game 6.

The NHL Stanley Cup playoff game is on May 27, 2015 at 8:00 PM ET.

For the first time in the series, the Ducks got a victory in the series when the game went to overtime.

In the other two instances, the Blackhawks used the extra periods to find another gear and get past the Ducks, resulting in their two wins in the series.

However, Game 5 was different as Anaheim started aggressively to finish the game off and win 5-4 in overtime.

The game didn't really have to go the extra period, with the Ducks flying out to a big 3-0 lead at the end of the first period.

Cam Fowler opened the scoring at the 5:10 mark and the lead was immediately doubled by Ryan Keslar only 32 seconds later.

Sami Vatanen scored in the later part of the period to complete the period of domination with a three-goal lead.

The Blackhawks answered back in the second period, and with only less than two minutes being played in the frame, Teuvo Teravainen finally put Chicago on the scoreboard with a goal.

Brent Seabrook waited until the last 25 seconds of the second period to turn the match into a one-goal game with his shot.

Despite giving up the lead, the Ducks retaliated with a goal in the third period by Patrick Maroon. That restored a two-goal lead and left Chicago desperate to fight back.

Turning to their captain, Jonathan Toews showed up just in time to score two goals in the game's last two minutes to tie things up.

Already letting the game slip in regulation, Anaheim came off the ice blazing in the overtime frame to only need 45 seconds for Matt Beleskey to catch a rebound off Keslar's attempt to beat Corey Crawford and win the game 5-4.

The impressive finish to the game should be used by the Ducks in Game 6 to avoid giving Chicago a chance to extend the series to a do-or-die battle.
