Chicago Bulls trade rumors 2016: Miami Heat's Udonis Haslem bound to be with Dwyane Wade?

A reunion might happen in the 2017 off-season if Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem attempts to again be teammates with guard Dwyane Wade who is currently with the Chicago Bulls.

Haslem entered the National Basketball Association (NBA) and joined the Heat in 2003, the same year the latter selected Wade 5th overall in the draft.

Since then, the two have been teammates. But in the upcoming season, for the first time in their careers, they will play for different teams. Haslem will continue his stint in Miami after re-signing with the organization, while Wade left and inked a deal with the Bulls.

However, Haslem recently expressed the desire to try and be with Wade again, playing for one team. He is leaning towards convincing the latter to return to the Heat, which is unlikely as of now due to the events that transpired this off-season.

Because of this, rumors ignited and some suggested that Haslem might part ways with the Heat as well to accomplish his goal of playing alongside Wade once more. The 36-year-old may find this idea unfavorable, but heading to Chi-Town might be the best option if he truly wants to reunite with his longtime buddy.

The Bulls may be disinterested in Haslem since they already have a great frontcourt even if Pau Gasol left. But if they pursue him, it will likely be because of Wade, who admitted that the veteran big man was one of the reasons why leaving South Beach was a difficult decision.

Chicago can wait for next year's free agency to acquire Haslem or it can trade for him.

Haslem's numbers dwindled in the past few years, and as of the moment, what he could best contribute to a team is a veteran presence. It is uncertain if the Bulls will take the risk just to have that, considering that a number of experienced players, including Wade, are already on their roster.
