Recent off-court issues have led to Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert being a hot topic in trade talks. But a recent Instagram post by LeBron James may have shut down all the rumors.

This is not new for everyone who follows the National Basketball Association (NBA) or is a fan of James. He usually has workout sessions with his teammates and these have worked wonders in the past few years.

In the particular photo, Shumpert is in the middle of the pack and this could be enough to pull him out from the rumor mill since it shows a solid team, which means this group is likely the one heading into the 2016-17 season, ready to defend a championship.

Last season, Shumpert struggled mightily and his numbers dipped, which led to a diminished significance with the Cavaliers. This was also seen as a reason why there is a possibility of him being dealt, although the chances of Shumpert leaving Cleveland now could be lower following this gesture by James.

If there are issues in the picture, it is the absence of veteran guards Mo Williams and J.R. Smith.

Williams is rumored to be retiring before the season opens, while Smith is still unsigned and this is the real dilemma for the Cavs.

Before the Cavaliers even think of parting ways with Shumpert, they must first address their contract standoff with Smith. Both sides seem apart when it comes to the financial aspect of his potential pact. The length of the deal is also a problem, according to some reports.

Training camp is just around the corner and if the Cavs truly want to focus on being back-to-back champs, they should start eliminating roster troubles now or this might cause major setbacks that may slow them down in their future campaign.
