Reports said "Dawson's Creek" star Smith will portray Frank Cowles, a killer with an unusual fetish. He will be a creepy guy who collects and enjoys human limbs, a.k.a. an acrotomophile. Hewitt's character will be FBI agent Kate Callahan.

Erica Messer, the Criminal Minds showrunner, is excited to work with Hewitt, who is an additional talented actress on the show's amazing cast. She said exhilarating storylines await Callahan in Season 10.

Meanwhile, Cook told RTE in a July 15 interview that being part of Criminal Minds makes her learn a lot of things, becoming generally more wary and paranoid about people. Cook admits she already looks at people in a different way sometimes.

As for the fans who helped a lot to bring her back to the show during Season 6, when she was about to be dropped, Cook is very grateful.
