'Criminal Minds' season 10 spoilers: hunt for Los Angeles vigilante who shoots criminals in 'Protection'

"Criminal Minds" delivered a nail-biting, bone-chilling episode last week that saw alleged killers being mind-controlled to murder people. With only one more episode to go for the season 10 finale, what can fans look forward to this week?

Episode 22 sets the stage for the finale. In "Protection", Hollywood Hills reports that there are victims who are shot in Los Angeles that are linked to criminal activity. The Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) goes on a search for a vigilante that shoots those victims that commit crimes. The synopsis also teases that the Unsub vigilante is a total madman who takes hostages. It certainly seems like an exciting episode to watch.

However, this episode also creates the atmosphere for the finale as the online predator who almost took Meg, Kate's niece, and her friend in the season's premiere episode makes a comeback. TVguide reports that the online predator poses as a teen boy and traffics young girls for sex. Towards the end of episode 22, he will kidnap Meg and her friend, ending the show in a cliff-hanger. This kidnapping will personally affect the team as one of their members' loved one is in danger. The BAU races to catch the kidnapper, but it won't be a simple ride.

"Criminal Minds" season 10 will not end in a cliff-hanger so Meg's kidnapper will be caught. Series creator Erica Messer revealed that the season will end on a positive note. While it will be a sensational rollercoaster ride, viewers won't be holding their breaths for long. JJ's pregnancy will also be announced, with Reid being the first person to learn about it. The pregnancy plotline is due to actor AJ Cook's (who plays the role of JJ) real-life pregnancy.

Episode 22 airs on April 29 while the finale (episode 23) airs on May 6 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
