When Maddie and Mackenzie's departure was revealed on television, "Dance Moms" fans started questioning what really went down behind the scenes. And finally, more details about the Ziegler sisters' goodbye will be unveiled in episode 21.

A teaser for the said episode shows the sisters looking back to the time when they started with coach Abby Lee Miller on the show. While the special will focus largely on the sisters' journey on "Dance Moms," it is expected that Miller will say a few words as her final goodbye to her long-time students.

According to The BitBag, the episode will also feature a Q&A portion for the girls where they answer questions from their fans who've followed their journey. The Lifetime Network reportedly initiated the special so fans can have a closer look into the events that led to the sisters' departure. While many of the questions will already have been answered during the previous episodes, some predict that a few shocking truths will also be revealed.

One of the rumored issues that will be raised during the interview is that of Miller allegedly punishing the girls by giving them the cold treatment. Some of the moms on the show apparently didn't like the idea of Miller's disciplinary method and rumor has it that Miller will finally explain her side of the story.

It is unclear what the future will hold for the departing duo but according to Inquisitr, Miller recently hinted that there will be some sort of a collaboration "hopefully" in the future. "Hopefully, wink wink, Maddie and I will work together again. She's still at my studio. That's never going to change. But hopefully were going to be working on another project that you might just see on your television screen [or] even your computer screen in the future," she said.

Maddie has a lot of upcoming projects, and many say the reason why she's leaving is due to the change in her priorities. If she will tackle the said issue during the season finale is yet to be known.

"Dance Moms" episode 21 will air on May 24 at 9 PM ET on Lifetime.
