With season 5 coming to an end, Abby Lee Miller of "Dance Moms" has already confirmed that there will be a sixth season of the controversial series. There are already rumors flying around about the cast and setting for the upcoming season. While most of the speculations are just that, a mom and daughter pair has been confirmed to have quit at the offset of the fifth season.

"Dance Moms" is a reality TV show that first aired on Lifetime in 2011. It features Abby Lee Dance Company's Junior Elite team, which is mostly composed of girls from ages 10 to 14. The girls are trained by Abby Lee Miller and the show mostly depicts not only the dancers competing, but also their moms doting on them as they travel, train and practice.

"Dance Moms" is definitely not high brow television and has been plagued by controversies and lawsuits in the past. The show has been criticized mainly due to making teenage girls dance to inappropriate themes. Abby Lee Miller has also shared the scandal spotlight after having pressed assault charges against a former dance mom, Kelly Hyland.

It is undeniable that the famed choreographer directs her temper not only towards her dancers, but also their moms who are always present during the practice and competitions. Season 5 saw a feud between Abby and Holly Frazier. Just recently, the Fraziers had announced that they would no longer be appearing in the show with Holly saying:

"It's unfortunate. I think with any type of evolution with relationships there would be hope that there would be opportunities to repair it. As a person, I thought I gave an example of how we could and it's unfortunate that she thinks we can't."

Although the official statement has claimed that Nia and Holly Frazier will not appear on the sixth season of "Dance Moms" because Nia want to focus on her recently launched music career, it is obvious that the pair's volatile relationship with Abby had something to do with their departure.

The season finale for season 5 aired on May 26, but there is no confirmation yet about when the next season will premiere.
