'Deadpool 2' spoilers, release date: Stana Katic rumored to play Domino; Kyle Chandler cast as Cable?

(Facebook/Deadpool Movie)“Deadpool 2” is expected to premiere on Jan. 12, 2018.

In less than two years, the much-awaited American superhero sequel "Deadpool 2," will hit the theaters. However, there are already heaps of reports about the upcoming second installment.

According to reports, "Castle" star Stana Katic may play as Domino and the new love interest of the titular character, which Ryan Reynolds is portraying. The reason behind this speculation is because the actress once made a short feature of the character on the crime comedy series.

When it comes to the action sequences that are needed for Domino, fans believe that Katic can pull off the required stunts for the film since the actress apparently has a background on it. In the comics, Domino is one of the members of X-Men who excels in shooting and other hand-to-hand skills. However, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt since no one has confirmed this yet.

Moreover, there are reports that another mutant named Cable will be joining Deadpool and the rest of the gang in the next movie. In the original source material, Cable is the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey. Cable, who is known to have a strong partnership with Domino, has telekinetic and time travel ability. He is also an expert in everything that has to do with the wires, including hacking skills.

Based on the credits in the first film, Cable was mentioned to be joining in the sequel so it can be taken as a confirmation of the character's addition. However, there is still no official announcement as to who will be portraying the role. There have been reports that "Friday Night Lights" actor Kyle Chandler will be playing Cable.

Things will also get interesting both professionally and personally between Domino and Cable, if both characters are confirmed to be joining the sequel. Also, there are rumors that Wolverine will be appearing in the upcoming film.

"Deadpool 2" is expected to premiere on Jan. 12, 2018.
