News surrounding the ongoing Destiny Beta is filled with Bungie Studios's launch of the first stage of the beta last Thursday, July 17, for Sony's PS3 and PS4.

Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions rolled out on Wednesday. The Destiny Beta will run until July 28.

As game developer Bungie said, the Destiny Beta version is like a rocket, referrign to the strain of its countless downloads. It is just a start, with its culmination when everyone completes their journey to the stars.

Bungie Studios, which is also the developer of Myth, Marathon, Oni and Halo, emphasizes the Destiny Beta release is not complete without the gamers and wishes everyone to have fun.

Destiny, the online first-person shooter, multiplayer action roleplaying video game, is set to release on September 9, 2014. It is coming to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Activision, the company which brought Call of Duty, is the publisher of Destiny.

In Destiny, players assume the role of the Guardians of Earth's last city and have incredible power. They explore the solar system, ancient ruins, defeat the enemies of Earth, reclaim what is lost and become legends.

On Saturday, July 19, Destiny Beta brought two maps for two hours only in the special "Iron Banner" event, which also debuted a new type of gameplay.

The event presented Mars and the Blind Watch map. It also returned the Rusted Lands to service. The Iron Banner event was the only way to see the two maps in the beta version.

Bungie confirms the player's Guardian character is playable within the system across current-generation consoles PS4 and Xbox One; as well as last generation PS3 and Xbox 360 devices.
