The last week has been pretty intense for Bungie's latest best-selling title, Destiny.

First, its farming cabin was shut down after players discovered and reported that they were seemingly shooting at an empty hole in the loot cave.

Bungie concurs that there was something that is not quite right with the loot cave and decided to fold it up.

"But shooting at a black hole for hours on end isn't our dream for how Destiny is played. Our hope is that social engagement in public spaces is only one part of the Destiny experience. Expect changes soon which decrease the efficiency of cave farming and correspondingly increase engram drops from completing activities," Bungie stated in its patch notes.

While this issue is still outstanding, some players have stumbled upon multiple content from upcoming Destiny DLC "The Dark Below" and "House of Wolves."

Over the weekend, Destiny aslo fell victim to a hacking spree by hacker group "Lizard Squad."

"We're predicting a lot of mad gamers this weekend," Lizard Squad tweeted a few days before the actual hacking incident.

The group downed the servers of the game prompting Bungie to issue a statement to the players.

"We're aware of connection issues affecting portions of the Destiny player base and we're working to correct the problem. Please stay tuned."

Destiny was declared the most successful new video game franchise launch in the history, selling more than 500 million copies on Day One.

The cinematic gameplay and ultra dynamic online world of Destiny were brought about by its partnership with Havok, a game developer that uses Physics, Cloth and Script technologies.

"Bungie games have always been about robust, complex simulations creating exciting new gameplay experiences. Destiny's living world could not have been realized without Havok's Physics, Cloth, and Script technology," says Justin Truman, gameplay engineer at Bungie.

Bungie is once again on its way to creating a billion-dollar franchise.
