The upcoming expansion for the game, "Destiny," is titled "The Taken King" and it kicked up a storm of controversy when it was announced. But since then, the anticipation of its arrival has overridden everything else.

As for the developer, Bungie, it started releasing details about the expansion and has recently teased the Dreadnaught spaceship, which is said to be one of the scariest destinations in the game.

News about the Dreadnaught and how it would come stuffed with loot and a number of foes were revealed by Bungie in its weekly update. The developer was also quick to point out that the spaceship would never be considered as a "hospitable" environment and gamers will soon understand this when the expansion launches on Sept. 15.

The Dreadnaught is the Hive, at the head of which is The Taken King, who is hell bent on avenging the death of his son, Crota and the rest of his spawn. Players in the game will have to infiltrate the Dreadnaught and find their way through its huge maze of tunnels and take on Oryx the Taken King and of course, collect as much loot as possible along the way.

Bungie also stated in its weekly update that the spaceship is more than just another location in the game and gamers will be able to explore almost every part of it and "discover its secrets." As for the atmosphere in the ship, the developer hinted that it would be a combination between a tomb and a flagship vessel. This could mean that there will be a lot more going on in the spaceship and players will have to discover and deal with its many dangerous secrets.

"Destiny" has featured many "environments" before ranging from the Cosmodrome on Earth to the Ocean of Storms on the Moon and the famous Ishtar Sink of Venus. There are also added mechanics featured in the "Patrol mode," which will be arriving along with the expansion; and Bungie explained that it will allow players to compete for bounty and glory on a weekly and daily basis.
