Bungie has just released patch 1.03, with a slew of improvements, bug fixes and system enhancements for Destiny, in what could be the largest update that the game has seen since its inception.

"Update 1.0.3 was our biggest yet," a parcel of Bungie's lengthy blog post stated.

"We hit every major system that makes Destiny work with new content or bug killing agents. The best I can understand it as a player is that lots of math gets added to even more existing math. That sounds like a nightmare to these gunfire deafened ears," the developer writes.

Patch 1.0.3 consists of a series of updates that include the addition of social features to enable Team Chat, improved toggling between chat channels and talking to teammates in Strikes and team-based Crucible matches.

The developer has also reduced camera shake when characters are hit with explosives. Clown cartridge perk can be replaced now with other perks in shotgun upgrade trees.

New Iron Banner events were also introduced. Players are now required to reach level 20 before leading an Iron Banner Fireteam, additional 5 reputation ranks for Lord Saladin. Tempered Buff and Reforging are also added in the features section.

One of the biggest new eye candy features unwrapped in this update is the Sparrow fleet, modded by Bill Gross.

"I've watched dozens of community Sparrow trick videos and was blown away by the creativity. I wanted to unlock that trick potential for all players," Gross said.

The complete list of the massive updates can be found in Bungie's Nov. 20 weekly update.

The Dark Below DLC is scheduled for release on December 9 for $19.99 or £19.99, or as part of the Season Pass for $34.99 or £34.99.
